Graduate Student Kirsten Granados Receives Travel Award to National Meeting

Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology — Quality Life Through Research —

The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB)/Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC) Program is pleased to announce that Kirsten Granadaos has been een selected for a FASEB MARC Program Poster/Oral Presentation Travel Award. This award is for her to attend the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) meeting from May 27-30, 2009 in Seattle, WA. The MARC Program Travel award is a component of a federal grant from the Minority Access to Research Careers Program of the National Institute of General Medical Sciences.

The FASEB MARC Program is offering travel awards of up to $1,850 to defray lodging, air, ground transportation, and meeting registration. Original receipts will be required to receive reimbursement. Maximum amount reimbursed is $1,850.

Kirsten was selected on the basis of the outstanding record of scholarship and achievement represented in your application packet, and on the recommendation of Dr. Barry Braun. Congratulations on your accomplishments and the acceptance of your abstract to be presented at the ACSM meeting.
