Research Development
The SPHHS supports faculty development in all fields and at all professorial levels in meeting their research goals and competing for external funding. In accordance with those goals, the Dean has made a number of faculty and staff development opportunities available within the SPHHS.

The SPHHS also employs a full-time Grants Manager and Research Business Manager Liaison to support faculty research development and growth. Our Grants Manager works with faculty to provide guidance, to take on administrative duties, and to ensure that faculty research proposals meet the necessary requirements of external funders.

Research Development Workshops
The UMass Amherst Research Development office supports an evolving program of faculty research development workshops, seminars, and peer-to-peer mentoring programs intended to support faculty. Programs are designed to be either complementary to or integrated with other faculty development offerings on campus.
