Master of Science (M.S.)
The M.S. degree program is intended for students in the natural sciences, medical sciences, mathematics or engineering who have a career goal in applied research or additional graduate education. In addition to the three public health core courses, the M.S. student completes environmental health core of three courses, plus electives, an M.S. research thesis and a written comprehensive examination. The M.S. degree is usually completed in four semesters plus the intervening summer. A minimum of 45 credits, including a 6-credit thesis and a culminating experience is required.
