Practicum and Internship Opportunities

The Department of Communication Disorders strongly urges its students to take advantage of the practicum and internship opportunities available to its students. The department's clinical facilities are sufficiently equipped to allow for videotape or direct observation by students of clinical diagnosis and treatment of a variety of communicative pathologies. Students are urged to take advantage of this observational experience, but can do so only according to established clinical policies. Seniors may participate in a practicum experience with permission of the instructor.

Graduate students should refer to their advisors for information about required practica hours and experience as required for certification and licensure.

Additionally, the School of Public Health and Health Sciences regularly updates its Workforce Development page with opportunities for internships, practicum experiences, and other opportunities. Students are strongly advised to consult their academic advisors about suitable opportunities.
