Giving to the Department of Communication Disorders

Ways to Give
Make a Gift online: You can contribute online through the UMass Amherst Development website. Be sure to choose the School of Public Health and Health Sciences, and then the Department of Communication Disorders, in the allocation drop-down menus.
Mail Your Gift: If you prefer to send your contribution by mail, please submit your check, money order, or credit card authorization to the address below. Please do not send cash. Checks and money orders should be made payable to: University of Massachusetts Amherst. Please note that you wish to make your gift to the “Department of Communication Disorders” in the memo section of your check, and/or in your accompanying cover letter.

Gifts of Securities: Donors who own appreciated securities (held for over 12 months) can make a gift of securities to the Department of Communication Disorders. The donor can claim a charitable income-tax deduction for the full value of the stock. In doing so, donors can avoid the associated capital gains tax had they sold the shares.
There are several ways to transfer securities including the following: electronic transfer, mailing of stock certificates or hand delivery of stock certificates.
