Advising
Students will be assigned advisors upon admission to the program and will be informed of the name of their advisor prior to the start of the program. Students are assigned to faculty advisors to achieve equitable distribution among the faculty. However, students are free – indeed, encouraged -- to seek advice from any faculty members with whom they feel most comfortable.
It is the student’s responsibility to maintain a record of his/her program of study using the advising form. When the student is ready to graduate, this completed advising form, signed by the advisor, must be presented for review to the Department’s Graduate Program Director.
