New! P01 applications being accepted by NCI. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), issued by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), invites grant applications for investigator-initiated Program Projects (P01) in any area of cancer research. P01 grants support integrated, multiproject research programs involving a number of independent investigators who share knowledge and common resources while working towards a unifying overall scientific goal. The NCI provides support for Program Projects in the belief that a collaborative research effort can accelerate the acquisition of knowledge more effectively than a simple aggregate of research projects that have no interaction or thematic integration. Therefore, every P01 Program Project proposed should have a well-defined unifying research theme.
The School of Public Health and Health Sciences (SPHHS) supports faculty development in all fields and at all professorial levels in meeting their research goals and competing for external funding. The SPHHS employs a full-time Grants Manager and Research Business Manager Liaison to support faculty research development and growth. Our Grants Manager works with faculty to provide guidance, to take on administrative duties, and to ensure that faculty research proposals meet the necessary requirements of external funders.
