Academics
Students, both undergraduate and graduate, in the School of Public Health and Health Sciences develop the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to advance the health and quality of life of the public. The School offers a wide array of degree programs:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees in the Departments of Communication Disorders, Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Public Health Sciences.
- Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with concentrations in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Policy and Management, Community Health Education, Community Health Studies, Environmental Health Sciences, and Nutrition. SPHHS also offers a fully online MPH degree programs in Public Health Practice and Nutrition.
- Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communication Disorders with a concentration in speech-language pathology.
- Master of Science (MS) degrees in Kinesiology, Nutrition, and the Public Health concentrations.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Audiology, Kinesiology, and the Public Health concentrations including Nutrition.
- Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) degree.
In addition, the School collaborates in dual degree MPH programs combining the MPH with an MS in Nursing online or an MS in Biostatistics at Mount Holyoke College. The MPH is also offered as an off-campus program at UMass Worcester. Faculty also participate in the Culture, Health, and Science Program of the Five Colleges.
