Looking for an Internship?

There are a number of ways for Sociology Majors to find an internship. Students generally start by attending one of the regularly scheduled Internship Workshops held in Career Services (Goodell 508) to gather information. You can also browse a list of Sociology Major Internship Placements or stop by the Sociology Department’s Advising Office (Thompson 1012) to read profiles of students who have recently completed internships in our Sociology Internship Book.

If you are interested in an internship in Law Enforcement or the Criminal Justice system, your first step is to meet with Robert Ryan, Director of the CJ Internship Program. During the Spring 2018 semester, Robert is available for walk-in appointments on most Tuesdays from 5:30–7:30 p.m. in Thompson 1014.
