Undergraduate

Sociology aims to engage students and faculty in active and cooperative learning outside as well as inside the classroom. We support faculty research partnerships with undergraduate students through various means such as the SBS Dean’s Research and LeBovidge Scholarships, Research Experience for Undergraduates supported by the National Science Foundation, via hourly funding for undergraduate research assistants, as well as through options to earn course credit. We believe students’ early and active involvement in systematic investigation and research is a key part of their education and growth as critical thinkers.
