The American Sociological Association’s (ASA) Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) has awarded Celeste Curington an MFP pre-doctoral fellowship for the 2016–2017 academic year. ​This prestigious and competitive award is made possible by the ASA Council and generous contributions by regional and aligned organizations in the discipline as well as individual ASA members. MFP Fellows are selected on the basis of their commitment to research, the focus of their research experience, academic achievement, scholarship, writing ability, research potential, financial need, and racial/ethnic minority background.
