Bio
Swati is a third year graduate student currently serving on the Graduate Policy Committee.
Interests: history of social and political theory, political ecology, mining, cultures of sexuality
Education
2006 Masters in Public Health, UMass Amherst
Research
She is currently working on two unrelated projects. Her first project is on the politics of representation of sex work/prostitution. She is starting her second project on natural resource extraction, primitive accumulation and class transformation.
In the past she has worked on public health and cancer; the cultural turn in public health. She has co-authored a technical report for the National Cancer Institute.
