SEPRI is a multi-disciplinary institute that will develop revolutionary new science, technology and knowledge transfer methods to enhance the nation's ability to respond to emergencies. SEPRI provides a platform to integrate a variety of disciplinary areas of excellence across campus establishing UMass Amherst as a premier academic center for research and outreach in the Homeland Security area.
