Investigating the Ocean

Explore the various domains of the oceanic realm, including the sea floor, the water in the ocean, and the variety of marine life, and evaluate the role of the ocean in the dynamic equilibrium of the Earth. Objectives and Outcomes: . Assess the impact that the ocean has upon our own lives; . Decide upon effective management of marine and coastal resources; . Discover the process of scientific inquiry as applied to the ocean; . Work collaboratively to solve problems related to the ocean; . Interpret charts, maps, and graphs as part of the investigative process; . Adapt ocean science investigations to the middle-school classroom.
