Sun and Moon Journal:
It is one thing to study astronomy abstractly, quite another to carry out your own observations. Over the course of the semester, we will be paying particular attention to the astronomical motions of the Moon and Sun. A number of our weekly activities will relate to these two bodies, forming the core of your journal. We will ask you to add your own reflections about changes in your awareness of these bodies as we progress through the semester. We will also be asking you to, for example, take pictures of sunset throughout the semester, and these pictures will become a part of your journal.
