Rusty Nail Scientific Investigation:
We will be exploring the problem of rust, an issue that is of high interest to many of us, especially those of us living in the East. It is an undisputed fact here that many of our motor vehicles decay before their time. ...You will be given nails that have been treated to remove oil. Place one nail in a place where you believe that it will become as rusty as possible. You may move this nail about during the next two weeks if you wish, or leave it in one place. Keep notes on the progress of your nail(s), anything you do to the nail(s) and its (their) environment during the two weeks, and the results you get. Keep these notes in your Science Log.
