2009 Senior Shovel and Scoop
Date: April 24th, Arbor Day, Rain or Shine
Place: Durfee Conservatory and Garden (next to French Hall)
Come join us for the Senior Shovel and Scoop, as seniors plant and dedicate the 2009 Class Tree on Arbor Day, April 24th. The class tree dedication is a tradition that dates back to 1917. This year the Class of 2009 will be planting not just one tree, but five evergreens in beautiful Durfee Conservatory and Garden. Meet at the stage in Durfee Conservatory (next to French Hall) at 1 p.m. on April 24th. After the tree is planted and dedicated, join us in Memorial Hall for ice cream sundaes with ice cream provided by Friendly’s! This event is free and space is limited to the first 100 seniors, so pre-registration is required. The first 30 seniors to register will receive a free Class of 2009 pint glass! Register today by emailing your name and phone number to Stephanie Flaherty. This event is sponsored by the Senior Campaign Committee and the Student Alumni Association.
