The next meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee on FBS Football will take place on May 17 at 10:00 a.m. in the Recreation Center Conference Room.
Charge:
To monitor and evaluate the costs and financial impacts of FBS football.
Size and Composition:
(a) The Chair (or Co-Chairs) of the Athletic Council;
(b) The Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR);
(c)
The Chair of the Rules Committee or a designee;
(d)
The Chair of the Academic Priorities Council or a designee;
(e)
The Chair of the Campus Physical Planning Council or a designee;
(f)
The Chair of the Program and Budget Council or a designee;
(g)
The Chair of the Undergraduate Education Council or a designee;
(g)
The Secretary of the Faculty Senate;
(h)
Three At-Large Members of the Faculty Senate appointed by the Rules Committee;
(i)
The Director of Athletics, serving ex officio (non-voting);
(j)
The Associate Athletic Director for Finance, serving ex officio (non-voting);
(k)
The Student Trustee;
(l)
The President of the Student Government Association or a designee;
(m)
The President of the Graduate Student Senate or a designee;
(n)
One Student Member of the Athletic Council appointed by the Chair (or Co-Chairs) of the Athletic Council; and
(o)
One Student member of the Program and Budget Council appointed by the Chair of the Program and Budget Council.
The Chair (or Co-Chairs) of the Ad Hoc Committee on FBS Football will be appointed by the Rules Committee, after receiving nominations from the committee membership.
Reporting:
The Ad Hoc Committee on FBS Football is authorized for a period of 3 years, with re-authorization possible; it should report to the full Faculty Senate at least once each semester.
