SBS Initiatives
The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences is seeking philanthropic support to invest in exciting and innovative campus-wide collaborative initiatives and programmatic interests that will advance cutting-edge research and teaching within the social sciences on a global scale, spur programmatic growth, and lend prestige to the university. Federal funding for social science initiatives is scarce, but funding SBS initiatives is vital to maintain and advance the university’s standing among the competition. We want to expand capabilities in areas that will contribute the most to society and capitalize on recognized areas of research excellence in SBS and programmatic interests in global diversity education.
Funding for faculty positions, staff, undergraduate and graduate student training, including research assistantships, and new programs will offer the College a margin of flexibility to build on this foundation and enable these fertile research areas to surge ahead. Funds to sustain and expand program activities and faculty participation will help broaden the scope and breadth of these internationally respected research centers and programs.
