2013 Undergraduate Commencement and
SBS Senior Celebration
May 10–11, 2013

This year the official Undergraduate Commencement, at which degrees will be conferred, will take place on Friday, May 10 from 5:00–6:30 p.m. at Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium on campus. Click here for more information.

The separate College and School ceremonies, at which seniors are individually recognized and awarded a commemorative UMass medal (pictured here), will again take place in several different campus facilities at various times. The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences will conduct its Senior Celebration at the Mullins Center on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Robert S. Feldman, dean of SBS, will officiate. The audience can expect to hear meaningful and memorable commentary from a faculty member and student from each department and program. Each senior's name will be announced, by department, and photographs will be taken while the graduates receive their medals and shake hands with College leaders.

Seniors: Please plan on attending both ceremonies with your families. Each has been created to make your send-off memorable and fun. Take a sneak peek at what you might expect by viewing this short clip of last year's ceremony.

A Save the Date brochure will be mailed in early April to your permanent (where you live when you aren't on campus) address: please check your SPIRE account to make sure the permanent address is correct)

Seniors: We want to create a slide show to entertain family and friends before the SBS Senior Celebration Ceremony on May 11. Please send a high-res .jpg of yourself....somewhere on campus, on a study abroad experience, during an internship, or doing something UMass-related. Include your full name, major, and a sentence or two about what made UMass special for you. No images will be accepted after April 10.
