Kevin Knobloch '78, 2013 Eleanor Bateman Alumni Scholar in Residence

As president of the Union of Concerned Scientists, Kevin Knobloch '78 puts rigorous, independent science to work to solve our planet's most pressing problems. Knobloch argues that we need more "can do" capitalist spirit to counter corporate opposition to science-based climate policies, to establish leadership in global manufacturing and export of advanced technologies and innovations, and to effectively tackle the planet's biggest threat.

The UMass Amherst Alumni Association is proud to bring Kevin Knobloch '78 back to campus through the Eleanor Bateman Alumni Scholar in Residence program; connecting students with alumni who exemplify achievement of the university's mission through professional accomplishments and/or public service.
