SBS Graduates Honored at Senior Celebration

Journalism seniors on their way to the Mullins Center
Monday, May 12, 2014

The SBS Senior Celebration on Saturday, May 10 was a roaring success with about 1,000 graduates in attendance. Welcomed by Interim Dean John Hird, each group of graduates from all the degree-granting departments and programs in the College was individually recognized and awarded a UMass medal, as well as an SBS water bottle, to commemorate the efforts that brought to this day. Amid cheers—and tears for Meghan Beebe '14 (sociology), who died tragically in a hit-and-run accident near her home in Connecticut this past December—the graduates and families enthusiastically engaged in the 2-hour event held in the Mullins Center.
