Herndon Among Bostonians of the Year

PhD candidate Thomas Herndon (economics), who helped debunk a key study by Harvard economists that supported austerity policies, has been selected one of twelve Honorable Mentions in The Boston Globe's 2013 Bostonians of the Year. Herndon, along with Professors Robert Pollin and Michael Ash (economics) pointed out major flaws in a 2010 economic study done by Kenneth Rogoff and Carmen Reinhart, and called into question austerity policies promoted by conservatives in Congress.
