Dean's Advisory Board Member
Christopher Greer '88 (economics), partner and managing director of Forest Investment Management LLC, is a registered investment advisor specializing in arbitrage, relative value and event-driven investment strategies. The firm manages over $1.3 billion for institutional, family office and individual clients throughout the world.
Over his career, Chris has built an impressive track record in sales and marketing for investment management firms throughout the country. As managing director of Forest Investment's Sales, Marketing and Investor Relations, Chris develops relationships with investors across the United States, Europe and Asia. His efforts have helped increase Forest Investment's assets by more than $500 million in the past year.
Previously, Chris was managing director at Stark Investments (2000–03). As that firm's first marketing professional, he more than doubled assets under management to more than $2 billion. He created, staffed, and managed the firm's London and Tokyo offices, while developing Stark's sales/marketing approach, industry brand, and investor relations platform. Chris was also a partner at the NYC-based Promethean Investment Group, and served as senior vice president at Weiss, Peck & Greer, a leading investment management firm, based in New York and founded by his uncle in 1970. He began his career at Digital Equipment Corporation in marketing eventually moving to sales.
A native of Greenwich, Connecticut, Chris and his wife, Kristine ('90 UMass Amherst School of Management ), live in Westport, Connecticut with their two children.
