MASSACHUSETTS BANKERS ASSOCIATION
The 2010 Financial Literacy Internship Education Program
Application deadline: November 16, 2009
The Massachusetts Bankers Association (MBA), representing all 210 banks doing business in
Massachusetts are pleased to partner with the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) in
offering a paid internship with potential academic credit during the Spring 2010 semester. MBA is
looking for 2-3 students who will work with campus and MBA representatives to learn about financial
literacy and design and deliver programs that will help inform their campus peers.

Michelle Cardinal ´89 (communication) CEO and founder of Cmedia, is group

About the internship: Piper Jaffray's Technology & Clean Technology Investment Banking group hires college juniors each summer for its Summer Analyst program. Summer Analysts generally work ten to twelve weeks within an industry or product group in Technology Investment Banking and have the opportunity to learn financial modeling and basic analysis of companies and industries, as well as gain an understanding of the dynamics of the capital markets. These positions are available in San Francisco. This is a paid position. To be eligible for this internship, students must have completed their junior year in college and be graduating in December 2009 or spring 2010. They must have a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
Students selected for this internship will:
- Be among a very select group of students chosen for this prime internship.
- Be expected to work long hours and learn a lot in a dynamic work environment in Piper Jaffray's San Francisco office.
- Work as part of a global team with professionals from across Piper Jaffray's offices and sectors – from San Francisco to Minneapolis to Shanghai.
- Learn financial modeling and basic analysis of companies and industries from experienced practitioners.
- Develop an understanding of the intricacies of capital markets.
Make valuable connections in the investment banking industry.
If successful, be offered full-time employment upon graduation.
