Undergraduate Internships
The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences encourages students to acquire practical experience related to their majors. Internships are one way that students can prepare for employment or graduate study. You can learn about available internships through Career Services. Occasionally, the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences will offer special internship opportunities, that will be listed here. In addition, some scholarships for internships are available to support students who take unpaid internships. Piper Jaffray continues a tradition of recruiting UMass Amherst students
into its summer internship program for investment banking analysts in San Francisco. Several recent students and alumni have earned this internship. MASSACHUSETTS BANKERS ASSOCIATION
The 2010 Financial Literacy Internship Education Program

The Massachusetts Bankers Association (MBA), representing all 190 banks doing business in
Massachusetts is pleased to partner with the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) in
offering a paid internship with potential academic credit during the Spring 2011 semester. MBA is
looking for 4 students who will work with campus and MBA representatives to learn about financial
literacy and design and deliver programs that will help inform their campus peers.
