Criminal Justice Program

Take me to the Department of Sociology website.

This program, offered through the Department of Sociology, is intended for undergraduates interested in working in the criminal justice system. Offering guidance through available offerings in criminology, deviance, and delinquency, it can be used to meet the partial concentration requirements of the Sociology major and the full requirements of the Sociology minor.

Entry into the program begins with a formal request to the director or assistant director of the program. Academic standing and year of graduation are considered, with special preference given to juniors and seniors with strong records. On graduation and completion of the program, students receive a formal certificate and a letter describing the program.

In order to facilitate course selection and timely completion of the program, all students admitted into the program as of October 2003 should anticipate taking three or more of the required 18 credits via the Continuing Education Summer or Winter term listings.
