Michael Lewis is a professor in the Department of Sociology and Director of the Local Community Research Group (LCRG) in SADRI.  He is the author of numerous papers and has authored or edited seven books, including Poisoning the Ivy: The Seven Deadly Sins and Other Vices of Higher Education in America, The Culture of Inequality, and Urban America: Institutions and Experience.  He has served as Associate Editor of the journal Sociological Inquiry since 1996.
