Chris Henry  (Spring '01—Fall '02)
Chris was hired in the spring semester of 2001 and quickly slid into the role of bulk purchasing. Working closely with our contacts at the time (Coke, Snow's Ice Cream, et al.), and the rest of the Sweeties, we changed the way Sweets dealt with buying, paying for and contacting our suppliers; putting it all together into the Sweet N' More Bulk Purchasing Bible for posterity. After burning way too many grilled cheeses, and rocking out to Better Than Ezra, U2, and old school Michael Jackson for 4 semesters, Chris hung up the apron at the end of Fall semester 2002. He was "pumped" to have his apron retired—a tradition that one of the remaining Sweeties decided to rekindle, and which still happens! Being a classy dude, Chris is forever "that guy" with #69 hanging in the snack bar. Currently, Chris is an English and Reading Language Arts teacher for 9th graders at Pittsfield High School and moonlights as a part-time outdoor guide on the Appalachian Trail in the summers.

Addie Roberge  (Spring '00—Spring '03)
It was spring 2000, when I was asked the question "what do the words commitment and dedication mean to you?" I thought I knew, the Sweeties thought I knew too. But really, it wasn't until spring 2003, when I could really tell you what those words meant. After semesters of local purchasing, fighting with Moberg and Goodwin at All-Staff, BOB meetings, doing payroll, plotting against Greeno sub shop, installing sinks, breakfast nights, Sweet Sessions, hooking up with co-workers, staying up til 2 to re-count the cash box, cleaning up after the BOB dinner while singing reggae songs, whipping contests, meetings with the health inspector, being serv-safe certified, making great memories as well as great friends along the way, I can now very well tell you what those two words mean. This job has given me everything I could ever need to make it out there, it's taught me a lot of life lessons, and really pushed me to go further when I didn't think I could.

Vanessa Howell  (Spring '01—Fall '03)
When I transferred to UMass in the spring of ‘01, I knew I needed to find that "thing" that would help me connect to the college community while making some friends (and cash). The first time I tried a Rice Krispy Treat as a customer, I was hooked! I worked at Sweets for six semesters, and the only reason I left the biz was because they make you give it up when you graduate (go figure!). Some of the best times I had at UMass were with my fellow Sweeties, and I don’t know what I liked better - the food or my co-workers! I learned so many aspects of running a business while having fun doing it. Sweets Sessions, end-of-semester parties, late-night runs to Stop N’ Shop, and three- basin sinks are all awesome, and they are things I’d never be able to appreciate without Sweets N’ More.

Mandy Murray
Mandy started working at Sweets & More in the Fall of 2002, and if she hadn't been "forcibly" removed from the university (when she graduated in May 2005) she would still be working here. Having first applied because of a certain "charismatic" co-manager, Mandy started out with the business as a starry-eyed sophomore, looking for a place to belong.  Soon enough, she found that she had found a family, one that will always hold a large part of her heart (there's a large chunk of it on display in one of the freezers).  As of january 2006, Mandy's working as slave-labor" in the retail world, saving money so that some day she can go back to the west coast (where they pronounce the word "oregon" properly) and find another job that she loves as much as she loved Sweets (and as much as she loves quotation marks and parenthetical appositives).

James Crosby
James Crosby is a retired Sweetie. He was born into the world explosively like an unattended coffee milkshake with 1% milk in it and just as explosively, like a cookie flipping off a spatula and shattering a light, left it. To this day James is remembered for his excellence in service technique featuring the often-attempted-never-duplicated triple flip over suspended light fixures with a Willie Mayes snag-off-the-coke-fridge finish. For a taste of nostalgia, enjoy a delicious Chocolate Blackraspberry Milkshake with whole milk while beholding his retired apron. If you listen really close, you can hear his alarm clock ringing to this day as he continues to sleep through important meetings and appointments.

Dave Plisky  (Spring '03—Spring '04; Spring '05—Fall '05)
Dave is a Sweetie extrordinaire. Known around the Hill for his incessant rocking-out, he was loved by all. His perfectly designed & decorated aprons were the talk of the town around Amherst. They were always entertaining and unequalled as far as science can tell. Dave always made for some good times around Sweets. He will be missed.

TJ Kelly  (Fall '04—Fall '06)
TJ went from rags to riches the day he joined the Sweets N' More crew. His immediate success quickly expanded beyond the realm of fortune, and into fame. And on that fateful day, thanks to a major wardrobe malfunction, TJ was never called "TJ" again. Now, when he enters a room, the echoes of fellow Sweeties can be heard for miles as they bellow "Number One in the World!" Few can truly understand why TJ is recognized as "#1", but none can deny his claim to the title. TJ has received several endorsement offers since winning this prestigious honor. Of course, upon hearing these offers, TJ immediately responded "Number One in the World does not advertise!"
