What Are Board Members

The Ski 'n' Board Club is a different sort of club than other RSO's on campus. Our main goal is to have a lot of fun, meet a lot of people, and ski. On our quest for excitement and adventure we want the hierarchy of the club to be a group of people who share ideas, help out the club, and most of all have a good time during any activities that we might participate in. This takes effort on everybody's part to make things run smoothly. The benefits and rewards for actively participating in the club are many and diverse. For those boardmembers who have been around for the last couple of years they know there is some had work and sacrifice to be given every once in a while.

This is some of the criteria that boardmembers should follow:

  1. Working the table. It's not the best job in the world but everybody has to do their fair share. The table is our main form of advertising so it has to be up and running at least 3 days a week.
  2. Showing up for meetings (on time also). We want everybody's input and our boardmember meetings are the best way to share ideas.
  3. Making phone calls. (Members, ski areas, and trips)
  4. Organization of trips (accommodations, buses, carpools, etc..)
  5. Advertising (postering, table tents, flyers, etc…) Obviously if we want a lot of people to go on our trips, we need to advertise by any means possible. Everybody has to do some advertising to make our trips successful.
  6. Keeping the office clean. The office is for everybody's use, remember that and be considerate.
  7. Most importantly, to sell trips and to go on trips
