The Livestock Classic is a course available to UMass students
which teaches proper grooming and handling of various species of animals. An
annual student-run show is held each spring at Hadley Farm and allows
participants to showcase their animal handling skills learned throughout the
duration of the course. Each student has put in countless hours preparing their
animal for the show ring. In addition to the actual show, there are a number of
other activities such as crafts, demonstrations, ice cream and baked good sales
