UMOC Posted Trips

Sign-up sheets for all trips will be posted on the UMOC board which is located just to the left of the Student Union Ballroom. You must sign up on the board to be able to go on a trip unless otherwise noted. Pre-trip meetings are also mandatory. If you do not go to a pre-trip or call in advance to say that you can't make the meeting, you will not be guaranteed a spot on the trip.

Kayak Rolling
Come learn how to perform a wet exit and roll a kayak in the ideal learning environment of the pool. These skills are invaluable for opening up the world of the river to you. There awaits you all kinds of thrilling fun and experiences! Meet us at 6:40pm at the Student Union steps if you need a kayak. If you already have your own gear meet us at 7:15pm at the Totman pool. These sessions will be every Thursday night and will last until about 9:15pm. Cost is $2 for members and $4 for everyone else. Unless otherwise posted here, rolling sessions will be conducted every Thursday evening as described above. The exceptions are generally when Thursday falls on a holiday or school break. Summer trip to Maine
Mike Burke is leading a summer hiking trip to Maine to the summit of Mt. Katahdin and hiking the 100 mile wilderness there. There's a signup sheet on the club bulletin board in the Student Union. Mike's email address is aiki@backpacker.com.
