Backpacking on the Metacommet-Monadnock Trail
The group of six that went on this trip hiked along the MM trail
from Leverett to Northfield for a total distance of approximately 23
miles. The group started on a Friday night with a short hike to a good
camping location in order to get an early start the next day. On Saturday
they hiked about 16 miles along the trail which at times runs along roads and
railroad tracks, making for a good variety of scenery. The next day the
trip ended with a 7 mile hike around noon.
