What Is A
Mutant?
by Booga The term Mutant is by no means a standard name for a standard type of person. I suppose there are many more suitable names for our folk; just as there are many more names less affectionately used to describe us. Geeks, Weirdoes, Freaks, Losers, Radicals, Loners, Crazies...the list keeps going. We are known by all and listened to by few. Too odd to fit standard stereotypes we are labeled with generic labels, ridiculed and or ignored by the majority of society. After years of this oppression most of us break down with depression and or anger towards society in general or picks a particular part of society to focus their anger. After endless years of torment many give up, give in and slowly but surely join the society that oppressed them so much, closing off all qualities that made them special. | |

The Stronger
Mutants do not give in to societal standards. We live
without dress code, polite behavior or following the unwritten rules of
society. We are the Strong individuals whom Resist following the crowd
and follow their own dreams and beliefs. We are the individuals who
start new styles of fashion and music, we create new scenes, we change
the way people think about life. We spread our own open-mindedness to
others, for our experience has taught us well the value of respecting
other people's independence. Mutants are the individuals in our society
who make things happen. We are the boat rockers and head turners of the
world. Mutants tend to be UN-stereotypical because of their varying qualities. The term Mutant is just a generic term for different. We have no specific clothing style and no average intelligence level. We come from all races and sexual orientations. The only thing that groups us together is that we are individuals who have pride in what we are. We do not all have the same opinions about ourselves and the world in which we live. I live in a constant flux. After writing this I read it and do not agree on my own description of a Mutant. We are a group of people that words can not describe. Whether or not you are a Mutant is something only you can decide for yourself. The purpose of MU is just to create a healthy environment for Mutants to become better mutants. |
