The UMASS Graduate/International Christian Fellowship is a gathering of
international students and graduate students that provides a
friendly
environment for learning more about the Christian faith and exploring
the Bible in greater
depth. Our meeting times are also a chance for us to share our
lives and enjoy fellowship and fun together. We seek to provide
an enriching environment for both experienced and new Christians alike
as well as those who maybe exploring Christianity for the very first
time. Come
join us!
This fellowship is affiliated with the
Graduate InterVarsity Christian
Fellowship nationally and regionally. Our fellowship was
founded in the Fall
of 2000 with the goal of ministering to the graduate and international
students at the University of Massachusetts. The group started
with a
few students in an informal investigative Bible Study and has grown
into a close-knit community of graduate students committed to growing
in
Christ together and integrating our academic and spiritual lives.
We're hoping that as the group continues to grow and develop, it will
be
able to reach out to, meet the needs of, and effectively serve the
larger university community. We are holding regular Bible studies
on
Friday evenings and host several special events. We hope to
continue these ministries and add others as interest and need lead us.
One of the things we value most about our group is our diversity.
Members of the group have come to Amherst from
states all across the USA and from countries all over the world.
The map below illustrates that we represent a small portrait of the
Great Multitude of Believers.

"After this, I saw a vast crowd, too
great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language,
standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed
in white and held palm branches in their hands.
And they were shouting with a mighty shout, "Salvation comes
from our God on the throne and from the Lamb!" -Revelation 7:9-10
