The UMass Theatre Guild is proud to present The Pajama Game. This production brings the Theatre Guild in a new direction. For many years we have produced musicals that were written from the late 60's on. The Pajama Game was written and orginally produced in 1954. This is not, therefore, nostalgia about the 50's; it is art from the 50's. We have enjoyed living this musical, gaining an understanding of our history, and the history of our art form. For the next few hours we ask you to join us in our proverbial time maching and relive, for better or for worse, a few months of spring 1954. The quality of this production is a testament to the quality of the people involved. Actors, designers, administrators, technicians and so many others have done some of their most outstanding work. I would like to thank them as well as you, the audience, for making my dream a reality. My work as always, is dedicated to my father, my angel, Steven J. DeZoretti.
