All DVP officers are elected at the end of the Spring semester for the following year. Officers remain in their positions for one year terms. To be elected an officer you must first be a full/voting member in DVP, be nominated by another DVP member for the position and be available to fulfill the responsibilities the job carries as well as receive the necessary amount of votes to gain the position.
