Boathouse:

The UMass Boathouse was built by The Friends of UMass Rowing in 1988, with help from Alumni, Rowers and Coaches. The boathouse is located in Northampton, MA about 6.5 miles from campus on the Connecticut River. The river gives us dozens of row-able miles in each direction. The Boathouse is also located next to a very long bike trail, convenient for those mornings when you need to run for a while waiting for the fog to lift.
