Have you ever come by the Craft Center just to oggle our display items? Have you ever thought to yourself, "If only the leather ipod case and matching earrings could be all mine..."? Well, whatever your answer is, grab your wallet and your craft-lust and bring them to the Spring Tag Sale, held from 11 am to 3 pm outside on the Library lawn. There will be henna, button-making, and many other enticing, exciting activities. The Bike Co-op, WMUA, and UVC-TV 19 will be participating/supporting, so don't miss out!

We've thrown out our extensive but antiquated Rolo-Deck database of mostly-outdated Craft Center members in exchange for a new computer-based system. We'll be implementing it over the last month of the semester, so anyone who can't find their membership card will have to sign up again and get a flashy new card.

This week we have workshops in ring making, leather earrings, silk screening, and more! Check out the workshop page or come on in during our open hours for more details.

Also, go check out "Gloaming," a new exhibit from our very own Leslie Vigeant that will be in the Student Union Art Galleryfor this week only!

Move over, book making, the Craft Center has yet another craft! Henna tatoos will be offered during specific hours by certain employees of the craft center. Images of their handiwork will be up soon, and if you like the looks of it, support their work and our organization and sign up for your very own Henna tatoo.

The Craft Center is now open for the spring '08 semester! Please come by and explore everything we have to offer (including the new Book-Making area, spearheaded by Aarati, along with next week's workshops), and don't forget to say hello to our new co-worker, Ayla!

Welcome back, UMASS staff and students! The Craft Center is having an OPEN HOUSE on October 15th, from 6 pm to 8 pm. There will be demonstrations of each area, and food catered by People's Market and Sweets & More. Come in and sign up for a free membership, a workshop, or make something during our regular open hours from 11 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, 1 pm to 6 pm Saturdays.

The last day that the Student Union Craft Center will be open this semester is MAY 19th! Please come and pick up your projects, finished or not, before then. Otherwise they risk being tossed out during summer cleaning!
