High School: Rodriguez played first base his junior and senior year for varsity at
Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. His senior year the team won the Greater Boston League championship. Rodriguez was awarded the coaches award his senior year. He played for the Roxbury Titans in the Connie Mack League for two years, and one year with the South End Astros in the Yawkey League. Rodriguez also played in the Junior Goodwill Games in Florida three summers in a row.

Born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is the only child born to
Carmen R. Jimenez and Jose A. Rodriguez. He is an Exercise Science major.
