High School: Jack Ryan was a four year varsity shortstop, three year starter at Springfield Central High School. Jack also played American Legion baseball for Chicopee Post 452 his junior and senior year of high school. He successfully batted over .400 during his senior season and ended his legion baseball career by batting .600 in the Legion State tournament held at Szot park in 2008.

Personal: Son of George and Joan Ryan. Has one older brother and one older sister.
