The UMASS Minutemen outlasted the Penn State Nittany Lions 10-7 to claim their first NEA Regional Championship and sent the Lions home without their 5th consecutive World Series Appearance.

UMass won the first game with Penn State 5-4, and lost the second game 6-4.

In the first game of the tournament UMass came from behind to beat Rutger 10-9.

UMass will head down to Bradenton, Florida and will play in the NCBA College World Series from May 25-30th.
