On Thursday April 7th, reserve your evening for a special, never-before-attempted event: Dancing With the UMass Stars! The evening will carry an Old Hollywood Glamour theme, reminiscent of those bewitching ballroom dancers Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers!

Two dedicated and gifted professors are donning their ballroom shoes to give students and community members a fun and memorable evening! Our guest professors are:

Star: Dr. Susan Whitbourne, Professor of Psychology!

With her pro, Bodhi Hwang (Gold Level Latin/Rhythm, Silver Smooth/Standard)

Star: Dr. Ray La Raja, Professor of Political Science!

With his pro, Lisa DiGiusto (Ballroom Team Board Member, Silver Level Latin/Rhythm/Smooth/Standard, and Team Captain Elect for the 2011-2012 academic year)

In addition to these not-to-be-missed performances, there will also be performances by team members in different styles of ballroom dance, tons of social dancing (with a hot soundtrack mix of current hits as well as classic ballroom/salsa music, so there's a song for everyone!), and catering by Sweets and More! So come on out for a great show, fabulous dancing, and yummy cupcakes, cookies and brownies!

For those who dress up in fabulous Old Hollywood Glamour style, the admission will only be $4

*If you have purchased the semester pass for our regular Monday evening lessons, we are considering this event as part of your package, so you may attend at no extra cost!
