What is UMass Ballroom?

UMass Ballroom is a registered student organization (RSO) that focuses on teaching social and competitive Ballroom and Latin dance. Our club is open to the public and meets Monday evenings from 7:00-9:00pm in the lobby of the Fine Arts Center at UMass. Each week the team members teach a new dance--a slow waltz or foxtrot or perhaps a cha-cha or rumba. Click on the "Calendar" link to see our calendar for the semester or the "Club" link to learn more about the club. Hopefully, you find something that interests you!
UMass Ballroom is also a regionally competitive team. The competitive team is a much bigger commitment than the club. Once a semester the team holds a tryout session to find new team members. No partner or experience is needed to join the team--we start with the basics! You can find more information about what tryouts are by clicking on the "FAQ" link at the top of the page. The team also performs at various events held in the Pioneer Valley area. To learn more about these please click on the "Team" link.
