This will be a powerful community gathering, Voices of Resistance, bringing together people from many social movements to share our stories about how we are surviving economically and building fulfilling lives while working for peace and justice. It is hosted by The Resistance Studies Initiative, UMass Amherst; the National War Tax Resistance Coordinating Committee, and the New England fall gathering of war tax resisters.
The weekend will highlight our collective power over many years of activism. It will include a number of discussions with student and community organizers about local and national struggles, as well as workshops on how to practice tax resistance as a form of civil disobedience.
