Opening Doors: Improving Higher Education in Afghanistan
The doors in the image above mark a building entrance in Kabul, Afghanistan. The School of Education and Center for International Education (Department of Education Policy, Research and Administration) have signed an $11.2 million agreement with the U.S. Agency for International Development to expand efforts to improve higher education in Afghanistan. Led by Center Director David Evans and Joseph Berger, the agreement more than doubles Center funding for work in Afghanistan to more than $21 million. The project is part of an overall program to improve access to quality education throughout Afghanistan. Learn more.
