Research Development Workshops & Programs
Research Development produces workshops, seminars, and programs intended to support faculty in all fields and at all professorial levels in meeting their research goals and competing for external funding. Programs are designed to be either complementary to or integrated with other faculty development offerings on campus. Workshops and programs are largely faculty driven. Faculty groups are encouraged to request a workshop, seminar or program to meet specific research needs. Please see the complete workshop schedule and archives here.
Government Relations for Research
Aimed at building bridges to federal agencies and strengthening ties with congressional decision makers, Government Relations activities catalyze sponsored research. Government Relations helps tap new sources of federal funding and increase the existing funding for strategically positioned research programs. Activities include: coordination and oversight of Federal appropriations requests; tracking legislative issues; support for selected research initiatives through congressional and state legislative contact; and coordination with university personnel based in Washington D.C.
