Research Council Charge
From the Bylaws of the Faculty Senate
5-11-1 The Research Council shall:
- (a) Advance the research mission of the University;
- (b) Advise the administration on policy issues and major changes regarding Research Trust Fund (RTF) expenditures and review annually the RTF of the prior fiscal year;
- (c) Review and make recommendations regarding the awarding of research and scholarship oriented grants and awards such as Faculty Research Grants (FRGs), Healey Endowment Grants, Faculty Fellowships, and Conti Faculty Fellowships; and
- (d) Make recommendations to the Faculty Senate relating to the approval of new research centers and institutes.
