Kuali Research is now live for proposal submissions, awards management, and Conflict of Interest (COI).

Note: The transition of e-Protocol for both human subjects (IRB) and animal subjects (IACUC) to Kuali Research has been rescheduled to address a technical matter related to loading students as protocol personnel or protocol directors. Kuali will be available for IRB & IACUC starting Tuesday, October 15, 2019 (previously September 9th).

Welcome to Research Compliance which oversees all compliance requirements at the university related to research under one coordinated unit. Our policies, procedures, and guidelines are designed to support the responsible and ethical conduct of university research and to ensure adherence to all laws and regulations guiding research. We recognize the increasing burden of compliance requirements on researchers and work to provide assistance to decrease this burden wherever possible.

Major areas of compliance responsibilities include:

Compliance staff serve as liaisons between Institutional officials who have oversight over compliance issues committees that monitor and oversee state and federally-regulated research activities and the faculty, staff, and students engaged in university research.

New Guidance: A Legal Alert regarding Marijuana and Hemp has been issued by the University of Massachusetts Office of the General Counsel.
