RE: Estimated GEO Health Rate: Effective July 1, 2005 for FY06

Please be advised that the FY06 GEO Health Rate, which is the health benefit rate charged to department accounts for GEO members, will increase to $2,432.00 per FTE GEO member as of July 1, 2005.

The rate was calculated from actual 2005 participation data, FY06 Health Service and Supplemental Health Benefits Rates, and waiver percentages established in the GEO contract.

It is calculated on the basis of one FTE equal to 760 hours of employment for the year.

All appointments, including summer appointments, will be calculated as a percentage of this FTE. Charges for FY06 will be assessed to all accounts monthly beginning in July 2005.
