Opportunity Alert Services

Opportunity Alert Services are free e-mail services that automatically deliver funding opportunities to anyone who registers. The following services are currently available:

  1. COS Alert Service - Community of Science (COS) now offers an Alert Service for the FedBizOpps/Commerce Business Daily (CBD) and Federal Register (FR) . This service allows UMASS faculty to create custom searches that will run automatically against the U.S. government databases. The FedBizOpps/CBD and FR Alert Service user is notified by e-mail of new announcements, and can retrieve the custom search results in their FedBizOpps/CBD and FR Alert Service account. Faculty members may contact the Office of Research Affairs for their usernames and passwords.
  2. COS Funding Alert - Any researcher from a participating university with a COS Expertise record automatically receives COS Funding Alert . Faculty members from all disciplines should add or update their profile.
  3. Department of Education Mailing Lists - to get up-to-date reports and other information from the U.S. Department of Education e-mailed to you subscribe at: Not Available at this time.
  4. Department of Energy - The e-Center is the Department of Energy's web site for information on doing business with the Department of Energy, including viewing current business opportunities, registering to receive notification of new business opportunities, and obtaining information and guidance on the acquisition and financial assistance award process.   5. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) - if you would like to subscribe to EPA listservs go to http://www.epa.gov/epahome/listserv.htm.
  6. FedBizOpps - Sign up to receive procurement announcements from the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) at http://www2.eps.gov/EPSVendorRegistration.html . After subscribing you will receive the following announcements by email: 1. Presolicitation and post-award notices and their amendments; 2. Notices of solicitation and solicitation amendment releases; and 3. General procurement announcements.
  7. Foundation Center - sign up to receive free electronic newsletters or manage your current subscriptions at http://fdncenter.org/newsletters/ .
  8. Grants.Gov - This site allows organizations to electronically find and apply for competitive grant opportunities from all Federal grant-making agencies. To register go to the following web page: http://www.grants.gov/applicants/email_subscription.jsp
  9. GrantsNet - provides funding announcements for Training in the Biological and Medical Sciences. To register click on "Funding News Alerts, under GrantsNet Tools" and subscribe by entering your email address, on the following page: http://www.grantsnet.org .
  10. Illinois Researcher Information Service (IRIS) Alert Service - The IRIS Alert Service is available to UMASS researchers through our subscription to IRIS. It allows users to create individual IRIS search profiles that are run against the IRIS database of funding opportunities at intervals specified by the user (weekly, monthly, or every other month). The search results are delivered to the user by e-mail or posted to a World Wide Web site. To register go to:Not Available at this time.
  11. Initiative for Future Agriculture and Food Systems (USDA) - you may subscribe to the Initiative's electronic mail-list to receive E-mail notification of RFP publication and other Initiative announcements. Simply send E-mail message to: Not Available at this time. Leave the message blank. In the message space write: Subscribe ifafs-pubs.
  12. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Office of Earth Science - Automatically subscribe to the electronic notification service, which will alert you of all Office of Earth Science solicitation announcements as they are released at Not Available at this time.
  13. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Office of Space Science - OSS-Research Mailing List to be discontinued. Memo from NASA which reveiws procedure for sign up for the new Mailing list.
  14. National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) - If you are interested in signing up for email notices when NEA publishes new content, just email webmgr@arts.endow.gov with your address. Subject line should read "email notification."
  15. National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) - A new monthly e-mail newsletter, NEH Outlook , has the latest news and information about NEH grant programs and activities. To subscribe, send an e-mail to newsletter@neh.gov and type the word "subscribe" in the body of the e-mail.
  16. National Institutes of Health (NIH) Guide - Each week the NIH transmits via LISTSERV e-mail the Table of Contents (TOC) information for that week's issue of the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. To register go to http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/listserv.htm .
  17. National Science Foundation (NSF) MyNSF - MyNSF allows you to receive notifications about new content posted on the NSF website. Notification can be received via email or RSS. To register go the NSF Web Page at http://www.nsf.gov/mynsf/.
  18. State Science and Technology Institute Weekly Digest - SSTI's focus is on government-industry programs that encourage economic growth through the application of science and technology. The SSTI Weekly Digest , prepared with the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration is a free service that is sent every Friday and includes upcoming funding opportunities as well as other information such as updates on Congressional activities.   19. Transportation Research Board - To register to receive e-mail notification that Requests for Proposals have been published on the NCHRP & TCRP Homepage, please register at http://www4.nas.edu/trb/crpmail.nsf/registration . Be sure to indicate whether you would like to receive notification for the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP), the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP), or both.
  20. U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) - Receive e-mail notification when updates to the USAID Solicitations are made. To register go to Not Available at this time.
